Music eurhythmics for children

Parsons Music Academy has imported a series of ‘music eurhythmics’ programmes from KAWAI Music School of Japan, they are tailor-made for children from one to two years old. The programme incorporated Japanese theory of education into European eurhythmics education, it involves body activities and stimulation of five senses. Children are encouraged to feel the music using their body through imagination and creativity. This develops both their music and intellectual potentials.

The programme emphasizes the use of interactive teaching methods. Each class is led by a teacher and an accompany pianist, both of them adjust the class content according to children’s reactions and emotions. This highly raises participants’ degree of involvement.
